My Role as Your Organic Way Business Mentor

What Makes My Work Unique?

My Story…The Roots of the Organic Way

The Spring of 2015 I was miserable. My then-business was not feeling right to me. I was no longer feeling fulfilled or engaged with the work I was doing. For five years I had invested in marketing courses, signed up for business coaching, and attempted to launch several new iterations of my work.

Although I had a few minor successes in that five-year period, nothing produced the results I needed financially or the boost in engagement that I needed personally and professionally. In a last-ditch effort to resolve what was going on, I invested $5000.00 in an intensive five-month group coaching program. As I followed the step-by-step template, I became more and more uncomfortable with the direction my new service was taking. Nothing felt right about it. I could not commit to what I created because it didn’t reflect the way I work. By the end, I was angry, frustrated, worn out, and hopeless.

The day after that course ended, my husband and I made a rather unexpected decision to relocate from the San Francisco Bay Area to Northwest Oregon. Suddenly my focus switched to getting our house ready to sell — purging, packing, painting — and then looking for, purchasing, and settling into our new home.

When I came back to my business seven months later, I was still stuck. The one thing I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt was that I needed to create my next business in a way that aligned with my values, my natural way of being, and my existing expertise.

At the time I didn’t know what that meant, but I have held to that vision of feeling fully aligned with my business since 2016. Over time, the path I’ve taken to create my business and the way I mentor my business clients has become known as the Organic Way.

At each step of my own business development, I have leaned in to find what is true for me. I have done some deep soul searching to release the Mainstream Strategies I paid good money to learn. I discovered what steps I had to take and in what order, to make progress that felt aligned with who I am, how I function, and what I value for myself and my clients.

I now support Seasoned Change Catalysts in taking my Organic Way steps as they reconnect with, re-imagine, and redesign their work with clients and their business.

Here’s How I Can Help You Revitalize
Your Work with Clients and Your Business

The key to bringing new life to your existing business is in taking a series of effective actions to create momentum.

To set that movement in motion you need a few things in place.

  1. You need to have a clear sense of the focus of your work, your idea with potential that is the seed that will grow into your business over time. If you feel uncertain about the focus of your business, it’s difficult to step forward.

  2. You need to feel confident about all of the moving parts you need to have in place to work with paying clients. If you feel uneasy about your new offer, your new pricing, or your ability to provide a good experience for your new clients, you won’t share your work.

  3. You need to feel committed to doing the work that it takes to re-vitalize your business. If any part of you is sitting on the fence, unable to make decisions, or nervous to take the actions necessary to create momentum, you won’t.

  4. You need to understand that your feelings of doubt, confusion, overwhelm, and procrastination are actually your wisdom shining through. When you feel you are holding back, something about your vision or plan isn’t quite right. These feelings are never a sign of weakness! When you know how to access this wisdom, you’ll develop a finely-tuned awareness of how you feel about your business. When something needs to be strengthened and refined, you’ll know!
